Music Soothes …

I’ve been reading a lot about mental focus. What you focus on creates your vibration (i.e. The Secret sort of thing). My question has always been - how do you change your focus when something ‘bad’ is going on? When there is a crisis how do you just change what you are thinking about? It is much harder than ‘just think about something else.’

I have been trying different avenues to help me change my focus and what seems to work best for me lately is listening to music. Music is an incredible stress reliever and it also makes me calmer and helps to change my mental focus.

My husband has always loved playing music and now our daughter loves it too. I stink at it but I do enjoy listening. Making Music - as opposed to just listening to it - is a great way to change mental focus. Even for the novices there are some great tools and software available to help spark your inner musician.

Actually, any creative expression allows one to change focus onto a subject that is more of a vibrational match to your desires but I find music to be a great tool for redirecting mental focus.
