Condition of Peace and Happiness

Happiness is conditional. It is something that your ego
allows only when all of it’s rigid conditions are being met.

  • I’m happy as long as I don’t hit a traffic jam.
  • I’m happy as long as the kids don’t scream.
  • I’m happy as long as the dog doesn’t crap in the house.

On the flipside, peace is a state of being that has no
conditions. All that is required is that you silently observe (see meditation
for more). External forces don’t have control over this state of being. They
can be experienced to the fullest but it is done with an unwavering sense of
peace.

  • Oh look it’s a traffic jam. Well what can you do? Hey look at that flock of geese.
  • Oh look the kids are screaming and the little one is sure screetchy. I guess I should get them to cool it.
  • Oh man I stepped in dog crap; I guess I’ll go take a stick
and hose to my new pair of shoes.

Just be the observer and with it comes an unconditional sense
of peace.
…and that’s what all were about around here.
